2013 Toyota Land Cruiser Review

2013 Toyota Land Cruiser Review
Since its introduction in the early 1950s, the Toyota Land Cruiser has built a reputation for being a solid and reliable full-size SUV. The 2013 edition represents a point in the nameplate's history that its manufacturer, Japanese automaker Toyota, has made it more luxurious than previous versions without reducing its rugged off-road capabilities.
The 2013 Toyota Land Cruiser is powered by a mighty engine: a 5.7-liter V8 with 381 horsepower and 401 pound-feet of torque. The engine is paired with a six-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission, and each vehicle has an all-wheel powertrain to improve driving control regardless of the road surface.
Fuel economy consists of 13 miles per gallon (mpg) in the city and 18 mpg on the highway. Also, the 2013 Land Cruiser can tow up to 8,200 lbs. Large enough to seat up to eight passengers, the SUV offers a maximum payload of 1,295 lbs., as well as a cargo volume of 16.1 cubic feet.
Rugged in feel yet aesthetically curvy, the 2013 Toyota Land Cruiser rides on 18-inch 5-spoke alloy wheels. Other exterior features include: integrated fog lights, projector-beam High Intensity Discharge (HID) headlights, heavy-duty mudguards, power sunroof, roof rack, and color-keyed rear spoiler and heated power-adjustable side mirrors. The headlights on the Land Cruiser have auto level control, auto on/off feature, and headlight cleaners.
The 2013 Toyota Land Cruiser provides several convenience features, which include: maplights at the front and second row, remote keyless entry system, 12 bottle and cup holders, power doors and locks, and auto-dimming rearview mirror with compass and Homelink universal transceiver. The SUV also has leather seats, and leather-trimmed steering wheel and shift lever with wood-grain inlay. Installed on it is a sophisticated entertainment system that includes: AM/FM/CD player, HD radio, 14 speakers and a subwoofer, MP3/WMA playback, rear-seat DVD player, and Bluetooth connectivity.
The 2013 Toyota Land Cruiser has ten airbags: a generous amount for protection in the event of a collision. Also, Toyota manufactures the vehicle with head-impact protection and highly rigid body structures. Four-wheel anti-lock braking, vehicle stability management system, lowered anchors and tethers for younger passengers, and anti-theft system with engine immobilizer are among the other safety and security features on the 2013 Land Cruiser.
