Andy Lee, owner of Braveheart Pub and Restaurant in Hellertown, will be competing for the title of Man of the Year for the next 10 weeks, where he has agreed to utilize his leadership abilities to conduct his own fundraising campaigns for LLS. The male and female candidates with the most votes are named the Chapter’s Man & Woman of the Year. Their totals are then considered in naming national titles. Money raised will benefit LLS’ mission to cure blood cancers and to improve the quality of life for patients and their families.
Winners will be announced at the Grand Finale at Bear Creek Mountain Resort in Macungie on Thursday, June 20th. The night will be a celebration of all the candidates’ collective efforts as they enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, live and silent auctions, and dinner and dancing. In 2012, 12 candidates collectively raised over $442,000.
