Clean Out and Recycle on Saturday September 15, 2012
Clean out your old electronics and recycle them!
Many people think of spring as the ideal weather transition time to purge unwanted items from their homes. For me, however, I like organizing my home in the fall. As the weather turns crisper, or, lately, as the leaves fall but the weather continues to be sticky and rainy, I dig through closets, donate outgrown clothing, and prepare for winter by cleaning out my space. For me, the arrival of pumpkins is a rejuvenating time when I gain energy to say "what the heck is all this junk in my closets?"
My family and I tackled our fall organizing last weekend and the result is five plump bags for donation and one bag of electronics that has been waiting in my closet to find a new purpose. The donations are set for the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization to pick up at my curb and the electronics are going to the Electronic and Universal Waste Recycling Day at St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church at 333 Oxford Street in Coopersburg on Saturday September 15, 2012 from 9:00am to 1:00pm. Please see the attached flyer for details or call Advanced Green Solutions at 610.767.2577 for details.
What a fabulous way to recycle old phone cords (phones had cords?), keyboards, small appliances, lead acid car batteries, copiers, washers and dryers and much more. Some items require a small fee but what a deal to rid your home of an unwanted dishwasher for only $15.00!
