Coopersburg Police Blotter

The following arrest information was supplied by the Coopersburg Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

The following incidents come from criminal complaints by the Coopersburg Police Department:

Domestic Violence at Giant

  • Jason Zednick, 32, was arrested and charged with simple assault and harassment on June 2 at 7:10pm at the Coopersburg Fire Company Carnival. A Coopersburg Police Officer was dispatched in response to a fight in progress between two males at the Coopersburg Fire Company Carnival. The males were separated, and the arresting officer was informed of a domestic dispute that had occurred earlier at the Giant in Coopersburg. The officer was given a description of the suspect.

The criminal complaint then states that police found a man who matched the witness' description, identified as Zednick. The officer spoke with Zednick’s wife, Jennifer Zednick. According to the officer’s testimony in the affidavit, “I noticed that her left eye was getting black and blue and her knee was scraped.” The account continues, “I [arresting officer] asked Jennifer what had happened and she stated that Jason [Zednick] hit her on the left side of her face but does not want him arrested because she is severely afraid that he will try to kill her.”

Jason Zednick was arrested for domestic assault and Jennifer Zednick was transported by Coopersburg EMS to a hospital for her injuries.

Man Makes Threats with Gun

  • Edward Master IV, 22, was charged by Coopersburg police with making terroristic threats and two counts of harassment. According to the affidavit, a Coopersburg police officer was dispatched at 11:06pm to a residence on 4th Street in response to a person making threats with a gun. On arriving at the address, the arresting officer observed three males struggling near a blue pickup truck. Two of the males handed over Master to the officer, saying, “This is the guy. Get him out of here.”

According to the affidavit, the two males informed the officer “that Master had threatened to shoot the victim from outside the residence by shouting in a loud manner ‘Get his ass out here. I’m gonna shoot his ass.'” Master does not have a permit to carry a concealed weapon, but a weapon was found in the pickup. Master was arrested and bail was set at $5000.
