A parish priest in England, Fr. Ker is the world’s leading expert on the life and works of Cardinal John Henry Newman, who was beatified by Pope Benedict XVI on September 19, 2010.  A prolific author, he wrote the preeminent biography of Neman (2010), a book on Newman’s spirituality (Healing the Wound of Humanity, 1997), a practical approach to Newman’s theology (Newman on Being a Christian, 1996), and a summary of Newman’s intellectual genius (The Achievement of John Henry Newman, 1991).  He earned his doctoral degree from Cambridge University.
