Kevin Deely to Hold Press Conference on State Education Budget Claims and New School Year’s Classroom Realities

At 4 p.m. Thursday, 10^th grade English teacher and candidate for the state House of Representatives, Kevin Deely, will stand with his fellow teachers and parents to address those impacts. At the press conference, Deely will also provide information addressing the difference between elected officials’ claims and the reality in the classroom.

Hundreds of hard-working teachers and staff in Easton and Reading schools have already been furloughed. Allentown, Southern Lehigh, Salisbury and Saucon Valley did not replace some retired teachers and have reduced support positions. Class-sizes have jumped and vital services for our children are disappearing.

Deely will explain why.
