The 2012 Ruggiero Lecture on Catholic Education

The 2012 Ruggiero Lecture on Catholic will take place on Thursday, September 13, at 7:30 p.m. in the University Center at DeSales University on the Center Valley Campus. Sponsored by the Salesian Center for Faith & Culture at DeSales, the event is free and open to the public. The title of this year’s lecture is "Catholic High Schools:Facing the New Realities" and will feature Rev. James L. Heft, S.M., and Ph.D.

Heft currently serves as the Alton Brooks Professor of
Religion and president of the Institute for Advanced Catholic Studies at the University of Southern California, and author of the book Catholic High Schools: Facing the New Realities. Heft received his undergraduate degree in education from the University of Dayton and earned a master’s degree and Ph.D. in Historical Theology from the University of Toronto.
