Join Upper Saucon Township for the ribbon cutting ceremony of the Saucon Rail Trail. This project created 2 miles of recreation trail from an inactive rail line. The Saucon Rail Trail provides outdoor recreation opportunities for people of all ages and abilities and promotes healthy lifestyles, as well as a non-motorized transportation route that connects neighborhoods to local parks and other destinations. Ceremony activities include:
- Presentation of the Colors and 1/2-Mile Walk of the Trail lead by local Boy Scout Troop 301
- Healthy Lifestyle, Bicycle Safety Information and more by St. Luke’s Health Network.
- Blood Pressure checks by Saucon Valley Medical Center.
- 4-Mile Bike Ride lead by the Upper Saucon Township Police Bike Patrol.
- Native Wildflower Seed Distribution by Carolyn Lidie of the Upper Saucon Township Park & Recreation Commission.
