WAEB and AccuWeather 25th Annual Benefit Softball Game for Animals in Distress

For 25 years, WAEB and AccuWeather from State Cololege have played a highspirited, fun softball game to raise funds for Animals in Distress, the Lehigh Valley's first non-euthanizing animal shelter and sanctuary.

Admission is free, although donations are appreciated. Food will be available, as well as many raffle prizes including a fine jewelry ring from Weatgate Jewelers, a Weber gas grill from Lehigh Supply, and many other items.

This year's game is in memory of AccuWeather's Ken Reeves, who died unexpectedly a few months ago in an accident.

A special memorial program, including bagpipes playing Amazing Grace, and the National Anthem sung by the local group "Sing for America," will highlight the program.

Everyone--including pets--is invited for a memorable and fun afternoon. 100% of proceeds raised will go to support the rescue and rehabilitation work of Animals in Distress, which is located just up the road from the stadium at 5075 Limeport Pike. The shelter welcomes visitors from 1 to 4 pm on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday.
