Golfers Are Out Even in Winter [Video]

The sun was out and so were the golfers on Tuesday afternoon in Coopersburg.

About a half-dozen golfers were emptying buckets of balls on the Wedgewood Golf Course driving range, while golf carts were zipping along amid the public golf courses’s 27 holes on the other side of Limeport Pike.

The tiny bit of spring the golfers were enjoying may have only been a tease, as according to the National Weather Service, Wednesday’s forecast for our area is calling for a mix of rain and snow throughout Wednesday afternoon with a high near 38 degrees. Snow is expected Wednesday night, along with blustery winds.

It seems the jury is still out on Punxatawney Phil’s 2013 prediction calling for an early spring. The “official” first day of spring is March 20.
