Kicking off a Season of Sports Camps

Every summer, parents face the prospect of children with extra time on their hands.  In years past, neighborhood kickball and baseball games filled up those idle hours.  But the number of families juggling two career homes, coupled with the size of the Southern Lehigh School District footprint often makes trying to get your child together with his or her friends for some kickball time a logistical nightmare.

So what to do?  Fortunately, we live in an area that is rich with quality colleges, many of whom offer summer camp programs.  You can find anything from a general sports camp that allows little ones to try out new sports to high powered camps designed to mentor the next generation of college athletes.

Listed below is a comprehensive list of camps available at many of the local campuses, with price ranges, dates, target ages and contact information for registration.  Note that some of these camps do offer extended care opportunties, as well as discounts for campers registered together, so be sure to ask.
