Lower Milford Gearing Up for Fall Festival

Crafters and vendors still needed

Lower Milford’s 9th Annual Fall Festival will be held from 10am to 5pm Sept. 24 at the township building.   The Recreation and Open Space Board is helping with the planning and events for the day.

Featured activities for the festival include:

  • Pedal tractor rides for children
  • Carriage rides around the grounds
  • Southern Lehigh Library book sale
  • A puppeteer and games for the kids
  • Photo competition with the theme Country Life
  • A silent auction
  • Music by “Country Grass”
  • Crafts and demonstrations

Volunteers are needed to create baskets with a theme for the silent auction.  Themes may include breakfast items, music, art, needlework or anything else that contains new or gently used items.  Basket ingredients may also be donated in a box and someone will create a basket with them.  Donations may be taken to the township office no later than Aug. 12 with name and basket ingredients on a 3x5 card.  The organization is requesting no perishable items.

Tables for crafters are still available and food vendors are needed.  The committee is seeking someone for pulled pork barbecue, cotton candy, caramel corn, and hamburgers, and a vendor to sell drinks.

For information about the festival or to participate as a vendor or crafter, call the township office at 610-967-4949.
