Police: Driver Arrested on Pot, Gun Charges

Upper Saucon police say they found marijuana and a gun in the car of an Allentown man who did not have a license to carry a concealed weapon.

An Allentown man is facing drug and firearms charges after Upper Saucon Township police stopped him on S. Pike Avenue earlier this month.

Brad M. Giandomenico was driving on S. Pike Avenue near Oakhurst Drive when he was pulled over for a suspended license plate, police said. While he was looking in his glove box for information, police allegedly saw a semi-automatic pistol magazine inside and asked Giandomenico if he had a gun. Giandomenico said he had an unloaded gun under the seat. He did not have a license to carry the firearm, police said.

The smell of marijuana emanated from a book bag in the front seat and officers discovered about 14 grams of pot and a smoking device and grinder inside, police said.
