Solehi Board Hires Head Basketball Coach

The Southern Lehigh School Board approved several personnel changes at its meeting Monday night:

James Binder was approved as a health and physical education substitute teacher for the 2012-2013 school year. 

Stephanie Hutzayluk was approved as an elementary education, K-6 substitute teacher for the 2012-2013 school year.

Benjamin Tannous was hired as head boys basketball coach for the 2013-2014 school year at a rate of $8,483 This is the rate for the 2012-2013 school year. The 2013-2014 salary will be determined after the school year begins. 

The board accepted the resignation of Katie Quartuch, Sophomore Class Adviser, effective Jan. 18, 2013. Along with that decision, the board approved Troy Ruch, as Sophomore Class Adviser, at a stipend of $1,107 (pro-rated), effective Jan. 19, 2013. 

The board also accepted the resignation of Edward Williams III, learning support teacher, Southern Lehigh Middle School, effective end of business day April 18, 2013. 

Two staff members were granted leaves:

Elissa Gruber, Learning Support Teacher, Southern Lehigh Middle School, beginning April 15, 2013 through May 11, 2013. 

Judith Browne, Instructional Assistant, Joseph P. Liberati Intermediate School, intermittent leave, beginning April 2, 2013 through April 1, 2014. 

A retirement date change was approved for Sharon Mitchell, Child Accounting Secretary, from July 1, 2013 to June 29, 2013.
