Solehi Intermediate School to be Renamed for Liberati
Intermediate School was "part of Liberati's vision" for Southern Lehigh

Though the room was reoriented to face the windows for the Dec. 5 meeting, it was the loss off superintendent Joe Liberati that threw school board members and district administrators for a loop.
The was fresh on everyone's mind, and administrators took time during the meeting to acknowledge those who helped the district through this difficult time.
"Without a doubt last week was very difficult for everyone," said acting superintendent Leah Christman. "The [] was a great way to honor him." Christman was unanimously appointed as acting superintendent during the meeting in light of Liberati's passing.

School board members also unanimously passed a motion to rename the the Joseph P. Liberati Intermediate School. "The Intermediate School was part of Joe's vision," said recently appointed school board president Dr. Tom McLoughlin. "He championed the school."
The school houses 4th, 5th and 6th grade students. It opened in 2009.

Southern Lehigh facilities manager Todd Bergey stated that preliminary inquiries have been made to price out lettering for new signage.
