SoLeHi Sports Scoreboard

Weather delays games. Girls Softball still undefeated.

Wrapping up a week of sports where weather definitely played a role in results, the following wins and losses were posted by SoLeHi teams.

Boys Varsity Baseball (1-1)

Southern Lehigh boys baseball coming off a 15-0 win over Wilson, dropped their home opener Monday against Palisades 5-3.  Wednesday’s game against Saucon Valley was postponed until this Thursday and Friday game against powerhouse Salisbury was postponed until April 19th due to inclement weather.

Boys Tennis (5-1)

Boys Tennis is once again having a winning season, having only dropped one game game to Moravian, who currently holds first place in the Colonial League South Division.  While the boys beat Wilson 5-0 on Monday, weather related cancellations postponed the teams games against North division leader Bangor, as well as Notre Dame East Stroudsburg.

HS Track and Field (Boys 2-1, Girls 1-2)

Despite the inclement weather this past week, the meet against Notre Dame went off as scheduled on Thursday.  Several Spartans posted outstanding performances that improved on their overall  League standings for the season.   The following athletes are currently listed in the top 10 Colonial League performances this season for their events:

Girls Varsity Softball (3-0)

 

The Southern Lehigh Girls Softball team, coming off last season’s 11-5 record, start the 2011 season strong, with three wins and no losses.  On Monday, the girls defeated Palisades 2-1 in their home opener and posted a 6-0 route of Salisbury on Thursday.  Wednesday’s game against Saucon Valley was postponed due to inclement weather and will be played at a later date.

Girls Soccer (2-2)

Coming off a season where they were undefeated in regular play, the Spartan girls soccer team is having a rough start, having dropped games to Northwestern, last years Colonial League Champions, as well as runner-up Bangor on Friday in a close 1-0 game.
