
Girls Varsity Softball (14-2)
Despite losing to Saucon Valley on Monday (4-6), the SoLeHi girls finished the season strong, with a 10-0 win over Salisbury on Wednesday and an amazing 13-1 win over Saucon Valley, who had been previously undefeated in League play. The wins allowed the SoLeHi girls to snag a wild card slot in the Colonial League tournament. The girls will meet Notre Dame Green Pond at 5 pm in Pates Park in the first game of the tournament. The winner of the game will meet the winner of the Saucon Valley vs Pen Argyl game on Thursday at 7 pm in Pates Park to determine who will be crowned Colonial League champion.
Boys Varsity Baseball (10-4)

Boys Varsity Baseball had mixed results this week. After clinching a win (14-6) against Saucon Valley on Monday, they dropped a key game to Salisbury on Wednesday, 2-6. The Salisbury loss placed Salisbury in first place in the Colonial League South Division, while Solehi clinched the Wild Card position for the Colonial League tournament. Tournament play will begin on Tuesday as the Spartans meet North Division Champ Northern Lehigh at 7 pm at Limeport Stadium in the semifinals. The winner of this game will advance to the League Championship game, which will be held at 7 pm on Thursday, May 19 at Limeport Stadium
Girls Soccer (10-2-1)

The SoLeHi girls soccer team won the Colonial League championship Friday night under the lights at Salisbury, defeating South Division rival Saucon Valley 2-1. The girls defeated Northwestern Lehigh 2-1 on Wednesday to advance to the Colonial League championship. Top seeded Saucon Valley defeated Bangor to advance to the championship. Saucon’s only League loss was at the hands of the Spartans, whose tough defense shut down Saucon’s top scoring threats. The game was played without team captain Emily Cerciello, who left the game in the first half with a head injury. Cerciello is a two time league All-Star and All-State rep. SoLeHi’s Kelsey King and Sydney Janowski scored a goal each in the Spartan win.
The Championship is the second for the SoLeHi team, who won their first ever Colonial League Championship in 2009.

Boys Tennis
The boys tennis team topped a stellar season by winning the District 11 Championship for the third year in a row. The team defeated Parkland 3-0 to obtain the district crown. The win included match wins by Eric Perez, Mike DiSanto and Brendan Ferraro in Singles play, as well as wins in doubles play by the doubles partners Brady O'Donnell and Aidan McLaughlin and Mike Nemeth and Jake Kohler.
Eric Perez will be participating in the PIAA Class AAA in the singles championship tournament whie Michael DiSanto and Brendan Ferraro will be participating in the state championship for doubles beginning on Friday, May 27 in Hershey, PA
HS Track and Field (Boys 4-7, Girls 4-7)
The Colonial League Track and Field Championships were held on May12 at Bangor Memorial Park. Junior Kendall Weedling placed third in the girls 200m dash and second in the 400m dash for Southern Lehigh. Chelsea Rivenbark, a senior, brought home a first place medal for SoLeHi in the 3200m run. The girls relay team of Dana Musgnung, Michelle Moreira, Maria McDonald and Kendall Weedling took second in the girls 4x400 meter relay while the relay team of Musgnung, McDonald, Jennna Wigard and Kali Yext took third in the 4x800m relay. A pair of third place medals went to Madeleine Cole for the High Jump and Sophia Herzog for the Pole Vault. Cole also placed second in the Girls Triple Jump.
For the boys, Nick Kirsch placed fourth in the 100m dash as well as the 200m dash. Kevin Anderson took second in the 110m hurdles, while the boys relay “A” team took second in the 4x400 meter relay.

Girls LaCrosse (8-2)
The girls lacrosse team will be meeting Emmaus High School at Nazareth in the Lehigh Valley LaCross Girls Championship. The girls advanced to the finals by defeating Nazareth 12-7 in the play-off game on Thursday. The girls have posted an impressive 8-2 league record, with a 14-5 overall record. Their previous meeting with Emmaus earlier this month ended in a close game, with Emmaus winning 12-10.
