Taylor Drive Will Be Closed from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 26 and Oct. 28

Drainage improvement on Taylor Drive will require some road closings.

Work continues to improve drainage on Taylor Drive, and Upper Saucon Township officials have announced that the road will be closed to through traffic on:

  • Wednesday, Oct. 26 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Friday, Oct. 28 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Through traffic will be detoured via Hay Street, Station Avenue and Franklin Lane. 

Work began on Tuesday, Oct. 11, and is expected to continue into November.

Work will be performed between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m., though work may occasionally extend until 8 p.m. weekdays, and possibly on Saturdays, when necessary. 

During the remainder of project’s daily work hours, there will be single-lane conditions along Taylor Drive, using flagmen and barricades. After daily work is completed, the roadway will be restored to two-way traffic.

There will certainly be traffic impacts on Taylor Drive because of this project and there will be delays for travelers. Motorists are encouraged to allow extra time and use caution when traveling through work zones.

Upper Saucon Township has contracted with Livengood Excavators Inc. to perform drainage improvements along a portion of Taylor Drive between Hay Street and Franklin Lane.
