Two Accidents Injure Three in Upper Milford

Coopersburg area man cited in one accident.

Three people were injured in two recent motor vehicle accidents on Upper Milford Township roadways.

In the most recent, Bruce E. Beltz, 23, of the Coopersburg area was hurt on July 10 when his Honda Fit struck the porch of a home along Churchview Road about 6:25 p.m., said.  Beltz was eastbound when he failed to round a turn, crossed the roadway, traveled along the embankment and struck a shed. His car continued to spin and struck the porch at 4710 Churchview Road.

Beltz received moderate injuries and was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest by Macungie Ambulance, police said. He was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.

In the other accident, this one on June 25, two Bethlehem residents were moderately hurt when their Honda Accord struck a utility pole and a tree, police said.

Police said Justino J. Fuentes-Diaz, 20, was traveling in front of 4587 Vera Cruz Road N. about 7:45 p.m. when his car left the roadway. The vehicle hit the utility pole and shrubbery before coming to rest against a tree.

Fuentes-Diaz and his passenger, Juan C. Cora-Arroyo, 28, both were transported to LVH-Cedar Crest by Emmaus Ambulance, police said.

Fuentes-Diaz was cited for failing to drive at a safe speed, suspicion of driving under the influence and related offenses, police said.
