Upper Saucon Fire Department Trains in Live-Burn Exercise

Fire Department officers maintain their qualifications by completing live-fire training.

The Upper Saucon Fire Department participated in a live-burn exercise last weekend in order to maintain their qualifications. A live-burn is a drill in which a controlled fire is started at an isolated training site, and actual equipment is used to combat the fire. The live-burn took place in Whitehall this Saturday. According to Fire Company President, Danny George, 14 officers participated in the exercise.

(Editor's note: Lower Milford also participated in the event)
