Upper Saucon Township Leases Six Acres for $300
Land deal between local farmer and Upper Saucon Township has become a customary agreement.

The Upper Saucon Township Board of Supervisors agreed, at the board's April 8 meeting, to lease 6 acres of township-owned land at 4556 E. Valley Road for $50 an acre to Leroy C. Stahler for farming.
The annual lease deal has become customary with Stahler, a local farmer who also leases former Stabler Land Co. land from Lehigh University.
The Valley Road tract is also formerly owned by Stabler. The total tract is 13 acres, but only 6 of it is suitable for farming. The rest is undevelopable, but the township has talked of converting it to a “sustainable nature park,” according to Township Manager Thomas Beil.
