UPPER SOUTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA — A township man has been sentenced for using a popular online gaming platform to target, manipulate, and exploit young girls, police said.

Alec James Magill, 32, faces 364 days to 729 days in the Bucks County Prison followed by two years of probation for multiple felony child-sex related charges after his sentencing on Friday.

Police said Magill used the online gaming platform Roblox to exploit the underaged girls.

During his sentencing, the mother of a 13-year-old victim talked about the lingering trauma inflicted on her family.

She said her daughter now lives in a constant state of fear and anxiety, afraid to be alone.

Despite implementing every safety precaution recommended by law enforcement, the mother said Magill still managed to bypass those defenses by exploiting online games and friend groups.

"Everything (he) did was calculated and premeditated," she stated. "He is a risk to public safety and always will be.”

Prosecutors said that Magill hunted for his victims with his "deceptive, predatory behavior." “Children don’t go on Roblox to make contact with people who prey on them."
