ATTLEBORO VILLAGE TO OFFER PROGRAM ON SCAMS THAT TARGET SENIORS
Learn What They Are & How NOT To Be A Victim

Attleboro Village is pleased to present an informative program entitled “Scams that Target Seniors.” The program will be presented by Richard L. Newman, Esq. of Newman Elder Law (pictured above) on Thursday, February 18 at 7:00 p.m. Attleboro Village is located at 290 East Winchester Avenue, Langhorne, PA 19047.
Seniors can be especially vulnerable to scams, since many live alone, have health issues and are not familiar with handling financial matters. Mr. Newman will discuss the various ways that seniors can identify and protect themselves from common scams including: telemarketing or mail fraud; identity theft; credit card fraud; price gauging; false injury or peril to a loved one and financial fraud. He will also offer suggestions for how seniors can get help if they think they have been victimized.
“Scammers target seniors that they perceive to be vulnerable,” said Newman. “It is important for seniors to familiarize themselves with common scams, so that they don’t become the next target for criminals.”
