Michela Sorano held her event at the Second Street Pike bakery in Upper Southampton Township Saturday.

UPPER SOUTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA —For the past two weeks, Michele Sorano has been baking and getting her business ready for its grand opening Saturday.
The grand opening of the bakery at 777 Second Street Pike in Southampton takes place from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday.
Sorano said there will be a ribbon-cutting and the first 100 customers who make a transaction will be given a free jumbo chocolate chip classic cookie.

Sorano said she will also offer a $25 gift card giveaway. Customers can fill out a ticket slip with their name and number. She said there is no limit to the number of people who can enter and a winner will be chosen at the end of the day after the bakery closes.
She said the store will be filled with red, white, and blue baked goods for the Memorial Day holiday.
"I will have my whole family here in official Baked by Michela shirts, helping and serving all of you," Sorano said in her Facebook post.
Sorano said she hopes customers will come to buy some baked goods, get their free cookie and enter the giveaway. She also will have some Baked by Michela T-shirts for sale.
"These past two weeks have been a soft run of understanding the store, baking for me at high volume —learning the Do’s and Don’ts when it comes to serving all of you," Sorano said. "Learning correct packaging and, most importantly, learning what you all enjoy."
The bakery is located on the same side of Second Street Pike as Las Margaritas and across the street from Johnny G's pizza.
