Bucks Equality Coalition Holding 'Love Over Hate' Community Forum

Thursday's event is the second organized by the Bucks Equality Coalition in response to an alleged beating of a gay couple in Philadelphia.

The Bucks Equality Coalition will host a Love Over Hate Community Forum this Thursday at the BuxMont Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in Warrington.

The two-hour event, which begins at 7 p.m., will include a panel of educators, students, spiritual leaders and activists who will discuss how to overcome bullying and violence towards the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community.

The panel is the second event the Bucks Equality Coalition will organize in response to an alleged beating of a gay couple in Philadelphia last month.

On Oct. 1, more than 300 people attended the Love Over Hate Rally in Doylestown.

“This work is too important to end with a rally—we have an opportunity, not only to pass LGBT inclusive hate crimes and anti-discrimination legislation in Pennsylvania, but also to address larger and deeper issues,” organizers said in an announcement.
