The Bucks Knocks Out Hunger effort, a collaboration of numerous local partners, raised $70,200 during its campaign.
In late June, Bucks Knocks Out Hunger was $16,000 short of its $55,000 goal. But a surge of donations, including $15,000 from a local donor who wished to remain anonymous, allowed Bucks Knocks Out Hunger to surpass expectations.

“It’s incredible,” says United Way of Bucks County CEO Jamie Haddon. “We set a modest goal of $55,000. That provides a lot of food, but with about 64,000 food insecure people in Bucks County, 100,000 meals and a few tons of fruits and vegetables go faster than you think. There’s no doubt that the full $70,000 will be put to good use.”
Bucks Knocks Out Hunger, now in its second year, is a collaboration of partners including Bucks County Opportunity Council, Bucks County Housing Group, Rolling Harvest Food Rescue, and sponsor First Federal of Bucks County.
