Pedestrian Struck In Street Road Hit-And-Run: Police

A dark-colored Hyundai hit a pedestrian on Street Road Tuesday evening, then left the scene, police said.

WARMINSTER, PA -- A hit-and-run involving a pedestrian was reported Tuesday evening in Warminster, police said. According to police, around 7:40 p.m., a man was found lying in the middle of Street Road, near Newtown Road.

Officers were able to quickly determine the man had been hit by a car headed eastbound. The car left the scene.

The striking vehicle is described as a dark-colored Hyundai (possibly a sedan or coupe), which is missing the driver’s door mirror. The Hyundai may have damage along the driver’s side, along with a smashed windshield.

Police said they are awaiting video surveillance from neighboring businesses to identify the driver.

The condition of the victim was not released.

Warminster Police Jim Donnelly said the victim is an adult was not involved with any Halloween trick-or-treating activities at the time he was hit.

Medic units from several agencies responded, along with the Warminster Fire Department, to assist with medical treatment and the investigation.
