Southampton Teen Arrested For Tire Slashing Spree: Police

Authorities say on June 18, Collin Jones of Southampton slashed dozens of car tires, including on vehicles at a Warminster car dealership.

Warminster Township Police have arrested a 19-year-old Southampton resident who they say slashed tires on 59 vehicles during a crime spree earlier this month on Street Road.

Collin Frances Jones is facing charges of criminal mischief, a felony of the third degree, possession of an instrument of crime, disorderly conduct and criminal trespass.

After an investigation, the Warminster Police determined Jones slashed tires on 59 vehicles, with 27 of them being at Lafferty’s Chevrolet. He also damaged one building, police said.

The total damages were estimated to be approximately $37,000.

Jones is being held in the Bucks County Correctional Facility in connection with a separate incident that occurred on June 28 at the Saxony Manner Apartments on York Road in Warminster Township. During that incident, Jones was involved in a physical altercation with a juvenile male.

During the course of this altercation, he produced two knives and stabbed the juvenile on his arm causing a large puncture wound. The juvenile was treated at the scene by Warminster Ambulance and was taken for medical treatment by the parents. Jones was charged with aggravated assault, a felony of the second degree, terroristic threats, possession of an instrument of crime, simple assault and summary harassment.

He has been remanded to Bucks County prison in lieu of $25,000 bail for the assault charges.

Arraignment on those charges is pending.
