Those Who Served Honored at Centennial School District's Second Annual Veterans Day Ceremony on Nov. 11

Following the ceremony, veterans are invited to participate in Social Studies panels.

WARMINSTER, PA---The Veterans’ Wall at William Tennent High School pays tribute to District alumni, faculty and staff who have served in the military. The Wall, which was rededicated in 2013, is the focal point of the Nov. 11, 2014 Veterans Day observation. The program, organized by the Veterans’ Committee of the William Tennent High School Alumni Association and William Tennent High School, commences at 7:45 a.m.

Listed on the Wall are the names of more than 125 William Tennent graduates, as well as District faculty and staff, who served in branches of the U.S. Military, including: U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, U.S Navy, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. National Guard, and U.S Army Reserves. Additional plaques containing the names of veterans will be added to the Wall this year.

Following the ceremony, veterans are invited to participate in Social Studies panels that will be held from 9:45 a.m.-10:40 a.m. “The panels are engaging and allow our students to understand world events from the perspective of those who were personally involved in key episodes in history,” said William Tennent Principal Dennis Best.

Veterans should arrive by 7:45 a.m. on November 11, 2014 in the second floor lobby of William Tennent High School, 333 Centennial Road, Warminster. Veterans are encouraged to attend and wear their uniforms. All veterans are invited to participate and are not required to have an affiliation with the Centennial School District. The event is open to the public
