Upper Southampton Police Seek Woman Accused Of Writing Bad Check For $1,950

Police are seeking Ashley Marie Davis on charges of writing bad checks and theft by deception.

Upper Southampton Police are seeking a Morrisville woman who they say wrote a fraudulent check to a friend in the amount of $1,950.

According to police, an arrest warrant was issued for Ashley Marie Davis on March 28. She has been charged with writing bad checks and theft by deception.

A friend of Davis told police she wrote him a check and he gave her cash. He then deposited the check into his bank account but it was later returned by the bank and determined to be fraudulent.

Her last known address was on the 400 block of Hillcrest Avenue in Morrisville.
