WARMINSTER TOWNSHIP, PA — A longtime Bucks County Catholic school teacher has been sentenced on charges for child pornography possession, federal authorities said.

Richard Adamsky, 66, of Warminster, was sentenced on Tuesday to 90 months in prison and 10 years of supervised release for child pornography offenses, U.S. Attorney David Metcalf announced.

Adamsky also must pay a $30,000 fine, $38,000 in victim restitution, a $10,000 Justice for Victims of Trafficking Act assessment, and a $20,000 assessment under the Amy, Vicky, and Andy Child Pornography Victim Assistance Act, the judge ruled.

Adamsky was indicted last September and pleaded guilty in December to one count of receipt and attempted receipt of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography.

At the time of his arrest, he was a 7th and 8th grade teacher at Nativity of Our Lord grade school in Warminster, and had taught there for 38 years.

According to court documents, Adamsky knowingly received a visual depiction of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct on or about June 15, 2024.

He also possessed two computers and two flash drives containing visual depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct. These depictions included prepubescent minors and minors under 12 years of age, court records stated.

Adamsky coached football, softball, basketball, and track and field at Nativity as well as Archbishop Wood High School in Warminster, the Warrington Athletic Association, Lenape Middle School in Central Bucks, the Bucks County District Attorney's Office said.

This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice.

Led by United States Attorneys’ Offices and the Criminal Division’s Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section, Project Safe Childhood marshals federal, state, and local resources to better locate, apprehend, and prosecute individuals who exploit children via the internet, as well as to identify and rescue victims.
