WARMINSTER TOWNSHIP, PA — A police officer has been hired and another one promoted during the recent Warminster Township Board of Supervisors meeting.
The Warminster Township Police Department hired Police Officer Jonathan Trego and promoted Police Officer Nathan Voytko to detective at last week's supervisors meeting.
“These milestones reflect the continued growth and evolution of our department as we strengthen our ability to serve and protect the Warminster community," Police Chief James Donnelly III said.
"Officer Trego brings a strong foundation and fresh perspective to our team, while Detective Voytko has consistently demonstrated the initiative, professionalism, and investigative skill that this new role demands," the chief said. "I am confident both will make meaningful contributions that enhance public safety and deepen our connection to the community we serve.”
Both officers were sworn in by District Justice Christopher O'Neill.
Voytko is a graduate of Quakertown High School and Bloomsburg University, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice.
He began his career with the Warminster Township Police Department in 2008 and attended the Montgomery County Police Academy.
Over the past 17 years, Voytko has taken on key leadership roles within the department, including serving as a Field Training Officer mentoring new recruits, and contributing to the department’s Accreditation Program.
Voytko lives locally with his wife, Jeanette, and their three children.
Trego graduated from Daniel Boone High School in June 2024 before enlisting in the Army National Guard as a Combat Engineer in August 2024. He successfully completed his training on March 14, 2025, demonstrating discipline and a strong commitment to service. Continuing his dedication to public safety, Trego began the Temple Police Academy in October 2025 and graduated in March 2026, marking another significant milestone in his pursuit of a law enforcement career. He looks forward to selflessly serving the Warminster community for many years to come.
