LEBANON, PA — A man has been charged with terroristic threats after authorities said he had a "hit list" of 20 Pennsylvania politicians and planned to carry out a shooting over the Memorial Day weekend, according to state police and officials.

Pennsylvania State Police charged Adam G. Berryhill of Lebanon with making violent threats that included showing a firearm on social media, making statements about a shooting, and mentioning a “Memorial Day Operation.”

NBC News reported that some of the 20 people targeted have been identified as Democratic members of the Pennsylvania General Assembly, including Joanna McClinton, the Speaker of the Pennsylvania House, and State Sen. Sharif Street, who is also the Chair of the Pennsylvania Democratic Party.

One area lawmaker, state Sen. Steve Santarsiero (D-10), said his name was on the list.

"I’m grateful to the local and state police who investigated and arrested the individual responsible for the threats," the longtime Bucks County legislator said.

Patch reached out to Pennsylvania State Police and the Lebanon County District Attorney's Office seeking more information about the incident.

Berryhill is being held at the Lebanon County Correctional Facility on $250,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Thursday.
