WARMINSTER TOWNSHIP, PA — The Warminster Township Police Department has reported its blotter of criminal incidents for March.
These are the criminal incidents:
- Officers were dispatched to Second Avenue and Harvey Road for a check on the well-being call. When officers arrived, they located a man slumped over sitting on the curb. The man smelled of alcohol and marijuana. When officers checked the 48-year-old man's information, it was determined that there was a warrant for him out of the Bucks County Sheriff's Department. In a search of the man before transporting him back to headquarters, a small amount of marijuana was found in his pocket. Pending results from the lab, the man will be charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana.
- Officers responded to a one-vehicle accident at Madison and Maple avenues. The vehicle had extensive damage, and a Verizon pole was split in half. A PECO employee who was in the area helped the 64-year-old man out of the vehicle. He stated he was not injured and agreed to Field Sobriety tests. He failed the Field Sobriety tests, and Portable Breathalyzer results were 0.081 percent. The man agreed to a blood draw, which was submitted to the lab for blood alcohol results. Pending the results, the male will be charged with Driving Under the Influence of Drugs or Alcohol.
- Officers were dispatched to Rosewood Court East Apartments for a report of a simple assault. When the officers arrived, they were met by a man who stated he wanted his ex-girlfriend removed from the apartment. The 37-year-old woman was handcuffed and transported back to headquarters for processing. The woman was arraigned before Judge Petrucci, and bail was set at $25,000. The woman was transported to Bucks County Prison. She was charged with Simple Assault and Harassment.
- On routine patrol, an officer saw a known wanted person operating a vehicle when he had a suspended driver's license (DUI-related). The 50-year-old man was required to have an Ignition Interlock system on his vehicle. The officer was also aware of a warrant out of the Delaware County Sheriff's Department. When the officer stopped the vehicle at Madison and County Line roads, he confirmed that the Ignition Interlock system was not in place in the vehicle. The male was taken into custody and transported to Bucks County Prison to be picked up by the Delaware County Sheriff's Department
- Officers responded to The Glen at Bucks on Street Road for a report of a one-vehicle accident. The driver advised that he was texting and skidded off the roadway. The vehicle hit a PECO pole, a Verizon pole, and the sign in front of the apartment complex in addition to a parked vehicle. The driver advised that he was not injured. A bystander noticed the male driver take two items out of his car and place them under another vehicle in the parking lot. The officer questioned the 44-year-old man, and he stated he had placed two containers of nitrous oxide under a vehicle that was parked nearby. The officer asked the driver if he had anything else that was illegal in his vehicle. He then turned over a small amount of marijuana to the officer. The marijuana was sent to the lab for testing. Possession of Solvents and a Small Amount of Marijuana will be charged pending results from the Lab.
- Officers were dispatched to Wawa on Street Road for a report of an intoxicated male, acting aggressively and screaming. He had also attempted to enter another customer's vehicle numerous times as she was driving away. A description was given of the man, and officers observed the male walking on Street Road. The officer observed the man with an unsteady gait and stumbling. The officer stopped the man and asked him to sit on the curb. The man had difficulty answering the officer's questions and didn't know where he was. The 22-year-old man was taken into custody, and his parents were notified where he was and to come pick him up. He was cited for Public Drunkenness and Disorderly Conduct.
- Officers were dispatched to Taco Bell for a report of a speeding reckless driver. The caller believed the driver was intoxicated and gave the plate number and description of the vehicle to dispatch. When the officer arrived, he identified the 49-year-old man s a subject he arrested for DUI previously. There was a warrant for the man from Bucks County Sherriff's Department. The officer determined that the male was under the influence of drugs or alcohol and asked the male to submit to Field Sobriety tests, which he refused. The man was taken into custody and transported back to headquarters. The man was asked to submit to chemical testing, which he also refused. The man was held until he was picked up by Bucks County Sheriff's Department.
