A fundraiser has been launched to help James Dolezal in his recovery from a June 22 crash in Hatboro.

A GoFundMe page has been launched for James Dolezal by Elizabeth Holmlund.

On Monday, June 22, Dolezal went out for a walk and was struck by a car at the crosswalk in front of his home. Holmlund said.

She said that Dolezal suffered severe injuries including broken ribs, collapsed lungs and a traumatic brain injury. He remains intubated and sedated, and the medical staff anticipates he will have a long road to recovery.

The GoFundMe page has raised over $29,000 of its $30,000 goal.

"Please pray for James and his family: Courtney, his wife, and his children: Judah and Savannah, Havah, and Eden," Holmlund said. "At a time when many of us feel powerless to help, your contribution will help relieve some of the financial burden of medical bills and many other emergency expenses."

She said that Dolezal frequently travels around the country at world speaking engagements at everything from family camps to academic conferences in addition to his regular college and seminary teaching.

"Your generosity will allow James and his family to focus on his recovery and healing, rather than the stress of lost income and mounting costs," she said.
