Man Threatens Police Officers At Five Ponds Golf Club

Warminster Police said the 39-year-old man is banned for life from appearing at the Street Road golf course.

WARMINSTER TOWNSHIP, PA — An intoxicated man wanting to play golf at the Five Ponds Golf Club threatened police officers who tried to detain him.

Warminster police officers responded to the golf course off Street Road in June for a report of an intoxicated man on the putting range.

Police said the man asked for a tee time and was told there was nothing available due to two outings that day. He then went to the bar to get a drink and became disruptive when he was refused service.

The 39-year-old man then threatened officers with bodily harm, police said. The man tried to take an Uber but was refused a ride due to his "belligerent behavior," police said.

Police and golf course personnel tried to calm him down, and the man then took another Uber and left the area.

The man has been banned from the Five Ponds Golf Club.

The incident was reported in the June police blotter of criminal incidents released on Wednesday.

The man was charged with Terroristic Threats, Disorderly Conduct, Harassment, and Public Drunkenness.

He was processed and transported to District Court and was arraigned before Judge Christopher O'Neill. Bail was set at $50,000 unsecured.

Police did not give the man's name, age, or residence.
