New School Year Starting Next Week In Lower Bucks Co.

LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA — The last few days of summer break are coming to a close as students return to classes in most Lower Bucks communities on Monday.

With Labor Day a little later this year, most school districts are starting the 2026-2027 school year before the holiday that marks the "unofficial end" of summer.

These are the school districts in Lower Bucks County starting school on Monday or just after:

• Bensalem Township School District — The day of school for all K-12 students.
• Centennial School District — The first day of school for all K-12 students is Monday.
• Morrisville Borough School District — The first day of school for all K-12 students is Tuesday, Sept. 1.
• Neshaminy School District — The first day of school for students in kindergarten, fifth and ninth grades is Monday, Aug. 31. All other students' first day will be Tuesday, Sept. 1.
• Pennsbury School District — The first day of school for students in kindergarten, sixth and ninth grades is Monday, Aug. 31. All other students' first day will be Tuesday, Sept. 1.

Some districts, though, will keep tradition alive and start the school year after the Labor Day holiday:

• Bristol Borough School District — The first day of school for all K-12 students is Wednesday, Sept. 9.
• Bristol Township School District — The first day of school for all K-12 students is Tuesday, Sept. 8.
