WARMINSTER TOWNSHIP, PA — The Warminster Township Police Department has released its blotter of criminal incidents for July.
These are the criminal incidents:
- Police received numerous reports of a man in a black shirt jumping in and out of traffic and trying to be hit by a car. The officer met with the man on York Road fitting that description. The 31-year-old man advised that he was walking to the YMCA, as it was a cooling shelter. The man said that he did not need medical attention and did not want to harm himself. The man was cited for Disorderly Conduct and Obstructing a Highway.
- Officers were dispatched to Christie Court and Roberts Road for a report of a male sleeping on the front lawn. Officers arrived and tried to wake the male and determined that he was intoxicated. The 24-year-old man was given a courtesy transport to his home, and he was cited for Public Drunkenness.
- Officers were dispatched to Walmart for a report of a Retail Theft. Loss Prevention had the male in custody. Upon Police arrival, the man had left Walmart and was on foot. Officers located the male at Johnsville Boulevard and Veterans Way. The 46-year-old male had tried to leave the store with a cart full of items totaling $677.00. The male was advised that he is no longer allowed at this Walmart. The male was arraigned before Judge Wertman, who set bail at 10% of $50,000. The male was transported to Bucks County Prison.
- Officers were dispatched to Walmart for a subject who was eating bread that he had not paid for. The 46-year-old man had been previously advised not to return to the store. Loss Prevention could not have the man cited for Retail Theft due to Walmart policy, but officers cited him for Defiant Trespass. The 46-year-old man was advised again not to return to the store.
- Officers were dispatched to Harrigan's Pub for a report of an intoxicated man setting off fireworks in the parking lot near cars. The officers were directed to a man fitting the description and asked him if he was setting off fireworks. He confirmed he was. The 22-year-old man was cited by mail for Public Drunkenness and Consumer Fireworks.
- Officers responded to Walmart for a report of an uncooperative man being held by Loss Prevention. The 33-year-old man had taken items totaling $25.29. The man was handcuffed and transported back to headquarters for processing. The man was cited for Retail Theft and transported back to Walmart to retrieve his vehicle.
- Police responded to Walmart for a report of a Retail Theft. The 62-year-old man was compliant and returned to the Office with Loss Prevention. The total value of items taken was $138.08. The man was cited for Retail Theft.
- Officers responded to Warminster Heights for a report of a male juvenile armed with a knife and another male juvenile with a bloody nose because of a fight that had taken place. A 12-year-old, 13-year-old, and a 14-year-old were cited for Disorderly Conduct and Harassment for fighting. No knife was found on anyone.
