WARMINSTER TOWNSHIP, PA — The Warminster Food Bank is expected to receive a $5,000 donation on Friday to help eliminate hunger.
The Giant Company will present a check at 9 a.m. Friday to the Warminster Food Bank at 495 East County Line Road.
Giant team members will spend Friday morning volunteering at Warminster Food Bank to support the fight against hunger.
The donation is to support Hunger Action Month in September.
Established by the Feeding America network of food banks in 2007, Hunger Action Month is a national campaign held every September to raise awareness and inspire action to end hunger in America.
Throughout September, Giant will donate a total of $400,000 to 24 partner food banks, in addition to volunteer activities, to put a focus on eliminating hunger in the local communities it serves.
The Warminster Food Bank serves over 12,000 people a year in Bucks and Montgomery counties.
