WARMINSTER TOWNSHIP, PA — The Centennial Education Foundation will host its Third Annual Centennial Speed Puzzling Competition on Saturday.
The event at William Tennent High School is a competition that brings together kids, families, friends and puzzle enthusiasts for an afternoon of friendly competition and community fun.
The event also raises funds to support students and teachers throughout the Centennial School District.
Doors open at 11:30 a.m., with the competition beginning at Noon in the William Tennent High School cafeteria at 333 Centennial Road.
Teams of up to four people will race against the clock — and one another — to complete identical puzzles.
Adult teams, ages 13 and older, will tackle a 500-piece puzzle, while Junior teams, ages 8–12, will compete to complete a 300-piece puzzle.
Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams in each category.
"It's exciting to bring the Puzzle Competition back for a third year," said Jennifer Schultz, Executive Director of the Centennial Education Foundation. "It's such a fun way to bring kids, families, friends and community members together for a little friendly competition while supporting our students and teachers."
Team registration is $40 for Junior teams and $60 for Adult teams and includes entry for a team of up to four people, one raffle ticket per participant and the competition puzzle for the team to take home.
Competitors aren't the only ones invited to join the fun. Spectator admission is $10 at the door, and the afternoon will also feature raffle baskets, a 50/50 drawing, a snack stand and a Puzzle Swap Table, where attendees can bring a puzzle and take home a different one.
All proceeds from the Centennial Speed Puzzling Competition benefit the Centennial Education Foundation and its efforts to provide educational grants, scholarships and opportunities benefiting students and teachers throughout the Centennial School District.
