WARMINSTER, PA — The Centennial School District is getting $450,000 in state funding to help support several programs and activities.
At Tuesday's Centennial School Board meeting, school officials announced that three legislators — State Sen. Frank Farry and State Reps. Brian Munroe and Kristin Marcell — who represent the school district secured the funding.
This is a breakdown of the state funding:
esentative Kristin Marcell and State Representative Brian Munroe, whose support will advance several district priorities.
The funding covers two cove-mounted projectors at the Betty Huf Planetarium at William Tennent High School. These upgrades will enhance the planetarium's presentation capabilities, enriching educational experiences for students while also providing an engaging resource for the broader community.
The $50,000 in funding will support the district's Home and School Associations. Each of Centennial's five elementary and middle schools will receive $10,000 to support school-based initiatives and activities that strengthen the educational experience for students and foster connections among families, schools, and the community.
State funding of $100,000 will support extracurricular opportunities at William Tennent High School.
The funding includes support for a weight room renovation and will help enhance facilities and resources that contribute to students' development beyond the classroom.
