Borough Votes to Disband 100-Year-Old Police Department (officer.com) — West Grove is a key player in whether Oxford Borough can join the Southern Chester County Regional Police Department after Oxford council voted 5–2 to disband its 100-year-old local force. The regional department, based in New Garden and including West Grove, would provide 24-hour policing, but Oxford residents and some officials remain sharply divided over losing local control and the future of current officers.
