1 Charged In Coatesville Murder, More Sought, After 24 Gunshots Fired: DA

A lengthy barrage of gunshots rang out in Chester County Sunday night.

COATESVILLE, PA — One man has been arrested in a killing in Chester County on Sunday and police are seeking other suspects who may have also fired shots, the district attorney's office announced.

Darius Bolden, 23 of Coatesville has been charged with first degree murder in the death of 23-year-old Skyy Zayaz-Toney.

The incident occurred on Sunday night, May 31, at around 8:30 p.m., on the 1000 block of West Chester Road.

Officials reported a barrage of more than 24 gunshots. Zayaz-Toney was taken to Paoli Hospital with multiple gunshot wounds where he later died.

Circumstances leading up to the incident are not yet known.

Police have recovered a gold Chevrolet Malibu they believe was used by the shooters, and they're asking for the public's help in identifying the occupants Sunday night. The license plate is NDD6740.

Residents in the area of West Chester Road are asked to check their home security cameras between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. Sunday night to see if this vehicle drove by.

"We continue to actively investigate this crime because we believe there were multiple shooters," District Attorney Christopher de Barrena-Sarobe said in a statement.

Bolden was booked at Chester County Prison without bail.
