1 Person Shot, Killed In Chester County: DA

The coroner's office has not yet identified the victim, who was shot multiple times, officials said.

COATESVILLE, PA — An investigation is ongoing after one person was shot and killed in Chester County.

The incident occurred on Friday, March 8 at 7:55 p.m. on the 700 block of East Diamond Street in Coatesville.

The circumstances leading up to the incident remain unclear. The victim, a black male, was found dead from multiple gunshot wounds, the Chester County District Attorney's Office said.

His identification is being investigated by the Chester County Coroner's Office, and will be released following family notification.

Chester County Detectives and the DA's office are leading the investigation, with assistance from Coatesville police.
