$12,000 Raised For Family Of 29-Year-Old Man Found Dead In Marsh Creek State Park
The community is coming together after the Fourth of July weekend tragedy.
UPPER UWCHLAN TOWNSHIP, PA — The tragedy that claimed the life of a Montgomery County resident over Fourth of July weekend has brought the local community together.
More than $12,000 had been raised as of Thursday morning to assist the 29-year-old Sean O'Connor's family with funeral costs.
O'Connor was paddleboarding with two others on Saturday night at Marsh Creek State Park when severe storms kicked up. The two other paddleboarders were rescued, but first responders were unable to find O'Connor's body until the early hours Sunday morning.

Funds have come from more than 170 different donors.
"Sean was an amazingly kind, caring man," his friend Stephanie Thrasher wrote in a GoFundMe. "For those who knew him, you know his smile would light up the room. He heavily enjoyed baseball and softball and was always ready to go to a field."

The Chester County Coroner's office has not yet released an official cause or manner of death.
