2 Dead, Several Hurt In Dump Truck Crash On Route 202

CHESTER COUNTY, PA -- A major accident involving a dump truck on Route 202 has reportedly left at least two people dead Wednesday morning.

The incident occurred at about 9:49 a.m. on the Route 202 southbound ramp to the Route 30 bypass in East Whiteland, according to Chester County Active Incidents.

The dump truck flipped over and crushed the SUV in the crash, according to the West Whiteland Fire Company.

First responders on the scene worked to extricate the victims trapped inside the SUV. Two people inside the SUV were killed and three more were injured, authorities said.

The truck appears to be hauling gravel.

Heavy traffic should be expected throughout the area.
