Detectives received an online tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that identified suspicious activity.

An investigation found that Lymberis used the social media app Kik to chat, receive, upload, and share the images and videos, police said. Authorities connected the account to Lymberis through his email address.

Some of the images utilized artificial intelligence to create sexualized media of minors, officials said.

After his arraignment, Lymberis was released on 10 percent of $35,000 bail. His preliminary hearing is set for June 8.
