WEST CHESTER, PA — Disturbing new videos and photos discovered on the devices of a Chester County man show him sexually assaulting numerous victims, including both children and adults, the district attorney's office said this week.
David Vincent Rosa, had previously been charged in April with 100 counts of possessing child sexual abuse material. But the new evidence has brought forth child rape charges, and authorities are searching for more victims.
Victims in the videos included adult women who appeared to be unconscious, and officials are concerned they may not know they were unconscious. There were also child victims younger than 10 years old, the DA said.
"It is one of the most terrifying sexual assault cases we have come across in some time," district attorney Chris de Barrena-Sarobe said.
Rosa has lived at numerous places in Chester County including Malvern, as well as Philadelphia, Allentown, and Saylorsburg.
Officials are searching not only for victims. They want to speak with anyone who has had any contact with Rosa in recent years so that they can attempt to piece together more information on his whereabouts and the nature of his crimes, they said.
The DA's office speculated that Rosa did not know some of his victims well, and used his position as a handyman to get to them.
"We have some belief...that he may been doing work for people in their houses, asked to stay in their houses, and cultivated his victims there," de Barrena-Sarobe added.
Rosa has remained in custody in Chester County Prison since April. If you have any information, contact the DA's office at 610-344-6866.
