WEST CHESTER, PA — Residents were possibly exposed to measles at three locations in Chester County last weekend, the health department announced.
Exposure events occurred on Sunday, Oct. 4 at the CVS on 870 Baltimore Pike in Kennett Square from 10:45 a.m. to 3 p.m., hte CVS on 857 West Baltimore Pike in West Grove from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., and the Giant on 849 Baltimore Pike in West Grove between 1 p.m. and 3:45 p.m.
"The individual with measles was present at these locations while contagious," officials said. "The Health Department encourages people who were in these locations during the listed times to check whether they are protected (immune) against measles."
The warning comes a day after Oxford High School shut down Friday due to a positive measles case in the school community. The district is now working to verify vaccination information for all staff members at the high school.

The county is urging residents to receive their vaccination if they have not yet done so. Residents are considered immune if they were born before 1957, have already had measles, or have received at least one of the two vaccine shots.
Chester County remains one of the most heavily impacted parts of the country for measles this year, as its 86 cases are more most states.
Of all 1,078 cases in Pennsylvania thus far this year, only 4 cases were vaccinated.
