On May 2 Villa alumna Anna Wilson '90 and songwriter Monty Powell perform in benefit concert for new turf field project.

Anna Wilson ’90 returns to campus with her husband, songwriter Monty Powell, for a benefit concert for the new Maurene Polley Field project. Tickets are $40 each, and include a barbecue dinner, beer and wine, and a seat at the show. The event is open to the public and tickets can be purchased online at www.vmahs.org, or at the door.
“Song Tales” is a singer-songwriter show that highlights the songwriting prowess and vocal performances of the husband and wife team. Powell performs his country hits made famous by Keith Urban, Lady Antebellum, Tim McGraw and others, while giving an insider’s look with stories about the songs and the artists he works with. Wilson’s sultry vocals shine a light on Great American Songbook standards mixed with her original compositions that pay tribute to the Tin Pan Alley era. (https://youtu.be/Y7C856F0Gdw)
